Head of Credit – Uganda

Job Purpose: Provide leadership to the Credit Risk Management Unit and oversee management of risks inherent in the credit process, loan documentation and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Management of Credit appraisal system
• Implementation of new  effective dimensions on portfolio risk management
• Ensuring continued maintenance of a quality portfolio in line with bank standards
• Optimize effectiveness and utilization of KASTLE in credit application processing.
• Continually review Sectoral ceilings, discretionary authorities, portfolio measures including industry limits, tenor limits, risk rating, NPLs, risk acceptance criteria etc
• Formulation and constant review of the bank’s Credit policy
• Provide on-going relevant training to all bank staff involved in lending business.
• Identification and management of substandard and non-performing assets portfolio

Minimum Academic Requirement:

• CPA, ACIB, AKIB, ACCA,
• University Degree in business related field Minimum Experience
• At least 5-7 Years in Credit Risk Management and general management.
