Qualifications / Minimum Requirements
Must have: -
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Business Management or an equivalent

Main responsibilities

·         Organize all fieldwork subcontracting (costs demands, choice of the subcontractor, relationship with the subcontractor) for studies
·         Ensure timings and quotas are respected
·         Make summarized reports of fieldwork feedback for every project
·         Prepare, send and/or supervise the fieldwork updates that are analyzed by client services
·         Take part in or supervise the general briefing of the interviewers and supervisors about the research.
·         Propose specific controls
·         Check the administrative management of the interviewers and supervisors (contracts, elements of pay)

Job Summary: The Business Executives - Advertising will be responsible for growing advertising sales volumes in order to generate revenue and achieve the business targets.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Aggressively build and grow the advertising business by conducting daily Sales visits to potential and existing clients.
  • Coordinate the production of client’s adverts and get their approval
  • Collect dues on ail advertising space sold on credit with in agreed timelines
  • Maintain sales contacts with appropriate representative of major advertisers and to follow-up and resolve any complaints.
  • Develop daily, weekly and monthly prospects of potential clients File weekly reports with the business manager on week’s activities and itineraries.

About US Embassy in Uganda:
The United States has enjoyed diplomatic relations with Uganda for over 30 years.  Ambassador Scott H. DeLisi currently heads the U.S Mission to Uganda.  The Mission is composed of several offices and organizations all working under the auspices of the Embassy and at the direction of the Ambassador.
Job Summary: The Records Management Coordinator will primarily be responsible for the management of unclassified records and correspondence.  The job holder will act as the authority on records and correspondence processing, controlling and retention. The incumbent stores, provides guidance and training in records management to Office Managers.  The incumbent serves as the alternate Travel Coordinator and Roving Secretary.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
NOTE:  All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
  • The prospective applicant should have completed secondary school education
  • At least two years’ experience in records and correspondence management.  A secretarial background and experience with travel logistics are strengths.

Job Purpose
The position holder is directly responsible for all aspects of sales, customer management and trade marketing in Uganda. This includes developing and delivering against sales plans for each business channel, implementation of trade terms and accountability for trade spend.
Responsibilities
·         Develop strategy on how to build the business with key customers and implement
·         Lead the development and implementation of the annual sales plans

  • Senior Accountant

    Officer in Charge - Kenya

    Based in Nairobi, the Officer in Charge (OIC) is responsible for overseeing operational and logistical arrangements and activities for scholarships, including selection panels, the application/nomination processes, and awardee mobilisation.

    The OIC is responsible for the strategic leadership and management of Nairobi Hub activities including supervising the operations and personnel of the Nairobi Hub Office, including administrative and management systems.
    They are also responsible for developing and maintaining Australian aid program networks in Eastern Africa, and promotion of the scholarship program across Eastern Africa.
    This is a full time role up to June 30, 2015.
    Key responsibilities include
    • Establish and maintain Nairobi Hub Office strategic and operational plans for the region and contribute to the development of higher level program and corporate strategies;
    • Identify and oversee innovation and efficiency;
    • Manage key stakeholder relationships including DFAT  posts and other client representatives with the region;
    • Liaise, as directed by Team Leader, with key partners (government, private) aid agencies on scholarship matters;
    • Liaise and report to the Project Base Office - Pretoria (and DFAT if required) on project progress, accomplishments, issues and constraints;
    • Ensure all scholarship management information systems remain up-to-date;
    • Oversee the administrative and logistical arrangements of application/nomination processes; short-listing, ranking and selection of long term award and short course candidates;
    • Assist in facilitating the logistics of contracting and convening of Selection Panels for pre-interview tasks in Nairobi, and in other locations as required when interviewing;
    • Ensure that all program activities are managed to meet budget, scope, quality and time requirements and expectations;
    • Lead and manage all aspects of HRM for the Nairobi program office including the recruitment, selection and performance management of staff (i.e mentoring, training, performance reviews and staff development), in consultation with the Program Operations and Compliance Adviser and Recruitment Adviser, as necessary;

    • Contribute to the development of the Scholarships promotional strategy;
