AGACIRO Development Fund
Background
During the 2011 National Dialogue Forum (Umushyikirano), Rwandans decided to launch a solidarity fund, later renamed "Agaciro Development Fund', with the motto - "Prosperity for Generations".
It was launched on August 23th, 2012 by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Rwanda. The NEI Fund aims to serve as a fiscal reserve or savings fund, positioned to protect the resilience of the Rwandan Nation in the face of shocks to its economy. The Agaciro Development Fund is intended to be managed as a Sovereign Wealth Fund.
The legal entity of the AgDF is that of a Trust with the citizens of Rwanda as its beneficiaries. Under the framework of the Trust Law, the Agaciro Development Fund has clearly identified Trustees who will oversee and manage the trust on behalf of its beneficiaries. It also has a clear governance structure which is a fundamental pillar of international best practice.
The Agaciro Development Fund aspires to become a competent and efficient organization with sound and visionary policies to enable the achievement of its mandate.
It is in line with the above that AgDF Corporate Trust Ltd intends to recruit the best candidates on the following positions:
Post: Fundraiser Manager (1)
Duration of Contract: 3 years renewable
Ÿ   Reporting to the Agaciro Development Fund' Chief Executive Officer, the Fundraiser Manager will be responsible for:
Ÿ   Taking forward and develop an organisation-wide fundraising strategy and work plans including tactics for raising funds.
Ÿ   Advise and assist the CEO and Directors in devising and implementing fundraising strategies for their programmes and specific projects and review their implementation on a regular basis.
Ÿ   Helping to improve the programme teams' fundraising skills, capacities and systems.
Ÿ   Working with the CEO and other staff to ensure that funding proposals comply with AgDF' s growth strategy.
Ÿ   Setting plans and organise meetings.
Ÿ   Develop and deepen existing donor/contributors relationships, ensuring that the organisation maintains effective communications and good relations without partners, ensuring -that they are updated on the Agaciro Development Fund's work and achievements.
Ÿ   Keep the organisation up-to-date on changing donor/contributors priorities and ensure that new funding opportunities are identified and shared with teams in a timely manner.
Ÿ   Taking the lead in working with partners to develop new income sources.
Ÿ   To work closely with the AgDF team and others across the organisation structure to increase AgDF profile and enhance its reputation within the donor / contributor community.
Ÿ   Represent the organisation at meetings with donors/contributors and external events when necessary or assigned to.
Ÿ   Being responsible for the fundraising budget
Ÿ   Keep the fundraising section of AgDF website up to date.
Ÿ   Leading in organizing fundraising events
Ÿ   Work out plans / strategies for pledge recoveries and take the lead.
Ÿ   To assist in developing a communication plan for AgDF
Ÿ   To participate in staff meetings and communications.
Ÿ   To travel as required.
Qualification and Experience:
Ÿ   A Masters degree in Marketing, Finance, Public Administration or any other related fields, with 3 years' working experience in a relevant field in a managerial position or a Bachelor's degree in the above field with at least 5 years' working experience in a managerial position.
Skills and Competencies:
Ÿ   Familiar with fundraising, Administration issues and strong marketing background.
Ÿ   Well versed with local environment and can easily adapt to new environment.
Ÿ   Ability to communicate
Ÿ   A creative and entrepreneurial approach to overcoming barriers and making change happen;
Ÿ   High levels of enthusiasm, resilience, and a can-do attitude;
Ÿ   Excellent communication skills with advanced capacity to write reports in English and a good knowledge of French and Kinyarwanda.
Ÿ   Demonstrated ability to achieve goals while respecting tight deadlines.
Deadline for Application

The application package shall be submitted to the AGDF Corporate Trust Ltd. offices located on the 2nd floor of the former OGMR offices situated within the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda's premises.
