Job Title:Product Quality Excellence Lead
Reports to: Distribution and HSSE Manager
Job Purpose: To implement effective Product Quality Management (PQM) at country level for the purpose of strengthening operational product quality performance across the supply chain and thereby ensuring consistent delivery of cost effective and fit for purpose products that meet our promises on quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for fuels lubricant and bitumen product quality (including aviation and marine fuels) in the country, in an integrated manner from the supply source through distribution to Retail and Commercial customers and beyond (such as at large mines and other Commercial customers’ sites), to the customers’ tanks/equipment.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the relevant PQ Standards, Manuals and Procedures (as described in the Product Quality Management Framework (PQMF) in the country, for the purpose of strengthening PQ performance across the supply chain; minimizing the number PQ incidents and mitigating their  impact.
  • Responding for assessing current QA practises for the different supply chains in the overall Unit.
  • Responsible for Product Quality Incident (PQI) reporting within the country while ensuring that all PQI  are managed in accordance with the VE PQ Incident Management Standard, including the capture and monitoring (remedial/corrective actions) of any PQ incidents
  • Responsible for reporting and reviewing PQIs at relevant management meetings and communicating learnings from PQ incidents.
  • Advising/training staff and customers on VE QA policies and requirements.
  • Provide general product quality advice to S&D, Retail and Commercial businesses.
  • Provide advice on the issuing product waivers for general fuels (not including aviation, marine, LPG or bitumen) in accordance with established procedures.
  • Managing VE controlled laboratories or test installations and staff.
  • Responsible for product quality related Regulatory compliance reporting.
Requirements
  • Graduate, preferably in the field of Chemical Engineering / Quality Management.
  • More than five years working experience in quality management.
  • Prior experience either of the following: product technical/sales support; product development; refinery (laboratory, economics and scheduling, oil movements) or technical/operational supply positions (e.g.: Supply Envelope roles; Supply projects etc.).
  • Previous experience of providing product technical support to customer, internal or external (governments; OEMs, NGOs) on product or HSE related issues preferred.

Lutheran World Federation / Department for World Service Kenya-Djibouti Programme is seeking to recruit a Kenyan national for the following position to be based in Dadaab Refugee Camp.
Accountability and Quality Assurance Officer
 
Duties and responsibilities will include among others:-
·         Identifying accountability gaps within the organization and developing innovative ways of addressing these gaps in line with the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP) Principles and standards and other existing international standards in emergencies.
·         Developing procedures and operating plans of mainstreaming Accountability principles and standards within the organization and building the capacity of project staff and beneficiaries on the same
·         Providing intensive technical support to the project staff in mainstreaming accountability principles and standards within the project cycle and project activities
·         Designing workable and comprehensive tools for monitoring accountability with focus to the beneficiaries.
·         Redesigning and or strengthening Accountability structures such as the Complaints and Response System
·         Maintaining a complaints database and manage the complaints referral system, in close collaboration with the Focal Person(s) and management
·         Providing monthly reports on trends, lessons learnt and success stories as far as accountability is concerned and documenting feedback from focus groups to be uploaded into the LWF Website for purposes of communicating and documenting LWF/DWS accountability efforts and results
·         Assess the extent of attainments of the intended objectives, outcomes, outputs and activities as per Log frames,
·         Generate findings on opportunities, constraints and lessons learnt during the implementation of the Project.
·         Reviewing the existing LWF/DWS policies, procedures, guidelines including the M&E System to ensure consistency with and adherence to accountability standards and making recommendations for change whenever necessary
·         Ensuring that all staffs have and understand all of LWF/DWS and ACT Alliance Policies, guidelines and Action plans
·         Any additional duties as deemed necessary by the Project Area Coordinator
Required Skills, Qualifications and experience
·         Advanced University degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or Human Rights Law
·         At least 3 years humanitarian program experience preferably with displaced persons
·         Understanding of HAP and RBA Approach to humanitarian/Development Programming will be an added advantage
·         Experience in policy development, implementation and review
·         Experience in designing and facilitating trainings and in capacity building
·         Data analysis skills (qualitative and quantitative)
·         Strong inter-cultural and interpersonal skills
·         Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, data soft ware and Internet

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure annual licenses and memberships are renewed in time before expiry and no fines are levied against the company.
  • In charge of all HSE issues in the company including ensuring staff are issued with proper PPE’s. Ensure Safety standards are adhered to in the company
  • In charge of staff induction and training on company code of conduct and Safety Standards including company HR policies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The QA Supervisor will conduct quality monitoring and coaching to ensure quality standards are maintained by the team by listening in on individual calls.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Department management and communication:
  • Ensure cost-effective resource utilization
  • Ensure ongoing improvement of field quality standards through advising appropriately and proactively

Qualifications
