Job Title:  Assistant Technical Sales (Medical Equipment)

Our client, a leading distributor and supplier of Health Care and Scientific Equipment in Kenya is looking for a Assistant Technical Sales who will provide customers with first line information on product offering and service information.

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and presents customers quotations in liaison with supervisor

·         Communicates with principles for product offers and specifications.

·         Prepares and presents tender documents in liaison with the supervisor

·         Answers to customers requests for product information and or quotations

·         Contract potential customers at site

·         Deliver presentations to doctors, practice staff and nurses in GP surgeries, hospital doctors and pharmacists in the retail sector

·         Build relationships with customers

·         Provide competitive information such as bid situations, pricing etc

·         Improve product knowledge and sales techniques

·         Calling on regular and prospective clients to solicit or follow up on product needs

·         Talking with customers on sales floor or by phone

·         Research and keep abreast with competitors

·         Coordinate all issues with key clients between sale and service support 

·         Taking clients orders, placing supplier orders, invoicing and disbursing goods

·         Communicating the estimated time and date of delivery of goods to clients and management for planning

·         Be present and assist in the installation and set-up of new equipment at client site

·         Staying informed about the activities of health services in a particular area.

·         Any other duties as may be allocated by the departmental Head.

Qualifications & Experience:

·         College Degree/Diploma in medical engineering

·         At least 2 years experience in a busy organization

·         Customer Service skills

·         Familiarity with a professional work environment
