Strategy Consultancy is in need
of a Legal Officer.
Purpose
Provide legal advice on all matters as required from time to time

Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Ability to carry out legal research, drafting and
writing legal reports, commercial contracts and agreements
- Ability to handle court assignments in the lower and
high court involving legal process and procedures on all matters
- Ability to carry out general conveyance in corporate
property matters
- Good dissemination and presentation skills on diverse
legal issues
- Assist and co-ordinate in legal research on litigation
matters for a busy company
- Undertake conveyance pertaining to all corporate
properties
- Carry out investigations and ad hoc assignments for
management
- Report and present legal research and investigation
findings to the management as delegated, discuss and agree on management
action and assist in subsequent implementation
- Ensure full compliance with law, legislative issues,
policies and procedures as stipulated by the statutes
- Ensure the company is abreast with new legislative
effect(s)
- Ensure compliance to Laws, By-Laws and legislative
requirements in all corporate matters
- Prepare and compute legal data
Qualifications
- LLB from a recognized University and an advocate of the High Court of Kenya
- Minimum of 3 years legal practice
- An advocate of the High Court of Kenya
- Holder of current practicing certificate
- Must be competent, articulate and capable of dealing
with complex litigation without supervision
- Excellent organization skills
- Certified Public Secretary (CPS) qualification is an
added advantage
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise judgement
and make decisions to promote smooth workflow, which requires a strong
overall knowledge of departmental operations.
