Job Opening: DDM Head East Africa

This role based in Kenya looks after teams which focus on the following products in Kenya and the East Africa:

• DStv Box office
• DStv Catch-up
• DStv Mobile streaming and VOD products
• DStv and GOtv broadcast mobile TV
• MultiChoice group Portals

The team that reports to the regional head comprises of:

• Web Editors
• Product specialists
• Sales teams
• East Africa in-country DDM representatives

Function:
The Regional Head’s functions include-

• Identify business opportunities that align with the DDM strategy
• Commission market research required
• Prepare business plans
• Implement business strategy for the region
• Formulate and implement the marketing strategy
• Manage annual budget and forecast exercises for DDM in the region
• Monitor the financial and performance targets of the division in the region
• Maintain relationships between shareholders, MultiChoice stakeholders, Business Partners, Mobile Operators…
• Implementation of Business Process around DDM products and services
• Draft and negotiate agreements
• Prepare management reports
• Liaise with suppliers and customers
• Manage Service Level Agreements with MultiChoice (internal) and external customers and suppliers.
• Manage DDM staff
• Ad hoc projects
• Customer Service Excellence Focus

• Strong leadership of a team of technical and functional experts
• Big picture thinking and a willingness to get involved
• Someone who is well organised and has a proven track record in end to end product development and maintenance
• A thorough understanding of the workings of digital media
• Attention to detail is vital
• Performance driven
• Goal oriented
• Customer service orientation
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure, quickly and accurately
• Quite a lot to get a handle on, but if they form a part of your personality, it’ll be a breeze!

Qualifications:

• Appropriate Degree
• 3 – 5 years Management experience
