Assistant Sales & Marketing Manager

Our client is a textile manufacturer with over 30 years experience seeking to hire an Assistant Sales & Marketing Manager whose main role is to grow the company business through increasing customer numbers.  They produce textiles like Maasai shukas, blankets, and sweaters, knitting yarn, duvets, pillows & cushions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Sales & Marketing Manager in running the department
• Prepare and presents Customers quotations in Liaison with Supervisor
• Communicate with production department on product offers and specifications
• Answers to customers’ requests for product information and or quotations
• Maintain a client database
• Resolves product or service problems by handling serious customer complaints and following up to ensure resolution
• Improves product knowledge and sales techniques
• Communicates with high volume clients through visits, email and by phone
• Researches and keeps abreast with competitors.
• Coordinate all issues with clients between sales and service support.
• Takes Client orders places supplier orders, invoices and disburses goods.
• Communicates estimated time and date of delivery of goods to clients and management for planning
• Stay informed about the activities of the textile industry in the country.
• Maintain all records and literature relating to the department i.e. Catalogues, Price Lists, Contract Agreements, customer database and product briefs

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing or Administration from a recognized Institute
• Minimum 3 years working experience in busy environment.
• Ability to work with Minimum supervision
• Quality Focus, Problem Solving, Documentation Skills,
• Listening, and Phone Skills,
• Multi-tasking Skills
• Mature, Self-driven, analytical and of high Integrity
• Knowledge of the Medical equipment market in Kenya
• Valid, Clean driver’s license with at least 5 years driving experience
