The Market Entry Associate will have the overall responsibility for developing insights to support market entry of B&R into Kenya.

The Market Entry Associate will specifically be responsible for;

·                     Complete the evaluation of the market. This will include but will not be limited to
·                     Field research and interviews, mainly with General Managers and Human Resources practitioners
·                     Remote research
·                     Interactions with marketing agencies
·                     Analyze current demand for services, including segmentation and sizing of demand
·                     Represent the company externally. This will lead you to
·                     Interact with Sodexo and appointed consultants
·                     Network with key internal and external stakeholders (i.e. employers and employees associations, policy makers, Kenyan ministries, etc.)
·                     Prepare the landing of Sodexo B&R in Kenya from an operational point of view (i.e. licensing, office location, sourcing suppliers, etc.)
·                     Produce a realistic business model

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
·                     Bachelors degree in Business or other related field
·                     Masters degree will be an added advantage

Five (5) years confirmed professional experience from one or more of the following fields:-
·                     Sales or marketing (ideally services)
·                     Strategy consulting
·                     Business development
·                     Must be an excellent communicator
·                     Should be tenacious and able to work in total autonomy
·                     Must  be entrepreneurial
·                     Must possess good interpersonal and networking skills
·                     Must have a strong client focus
·                     Should be structured, have a great attention to details, and can present ideas clearly

Background Information:
The Government of Kenya wishes to monitor and engage a wide spectrum of stakeholders and other interested parties on the country’s performance with regard to governance, social and economic reform.
This will entail monitoring and detailed analysis of the indices that help to explain performance in these areas.
Resultantly, interventions would be advanced to the relevant institutions and agencies aimed at improvements and sustained reforms.
In view of this, the Ministry needs to engage individual consultants who will undertake the functions envisaged in the scope of assignment.

Consultancy Position – Human Development Specialist
1 Position
Objective of the Consultancy and Scope of Services: The objective of the position is to undertake monitoring of human development indicators including youth and gender.
The holder of the position will be responsible for developing reform strategies that would promote improvement in the various indicators monitored.
The Human Development Specialist will be responsible to the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Devolution and Planning.
Deliverables
  • Report on all relevant human development global indices ranking of Kenya (Including education, health, social protection, food security, gender and youth).
  • Annual Kenya factsheet on human development indicators.
  • Development of a human development advancement policy programme.
  • Development of a structured engagement programme within government and with other relevant external actors.
  • Development of a public engagement strategy and implementation of the same.
  • Any other deliverables that may be required by the Cabinet Secretary in the course of the assignment
Qualification and Experience
  • The candidate must have a minimum qualification of a Master’s degree in Law, Economics, Development studies, international relations, Political Science or any other relevant field.
  • The candidate should also have at least 7 years of experience in a similar position in the public service or private sector dealing with governance related issues.
  • A PhD qualification is desirable.
