The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) is a State
Corporation established under the Energy Act 2006.;
The Commission is mandated as the energy sector regulatory
agency responsible for economic and technical regulation of Electric Power,
Renewable Energy and Downstream Petroleum sub-sectors.;
To achieve this mandate the Commission is seeking to recruit
suitably qualified, experienced, result oriented and highly motivated
individuals to fill the following positions:
Officer Communication and Public Affairs
(Ref. No. ERC/OCPA/02.14 Job Grade 7)

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communication and Public
Affairs the position holder will provide support services in planning,
development and delivery of internal and external communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce
and format the Commission’s brochures and press briefs;
- Organize
seminars, symposiums, and workshops: and take attend to all administrative
details;
- Design
flyers, posters, and power point presentations for seminars/workshops:
formatting articles and reports;
- Develop
and update a detailed database of Commission key stakeholders;
- Prepare
updating content for the Commission website;
- Provide
information on the Commission to interested parties;
- Maintain a
catalogue of Commission database of pictures; and
- Co-ordinate
production of organization communication tools such as business cards,
letter heads, signage and dissemination of reports and brochures.
Qualification, Experience & Skills
- A
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Social Sciences/Business
Administration from a recognized university.
- Diploma in
Public Relations.
- At least
five (5) years relevant working experience.
- Excellent
communication skills and understanding of corporate governance.
- Proven
competency in computer literacy.
