ACORN GROUP – a leading Property Development Company with interests in commercial, office, retail and residential development is looking for a highly ambitious candidate to fill this position in their main office in Nairobi:

Associate – Project Management (Design Management) – Re Advertisement
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Project Management, the position is responsible for managing and monitoring the Design attribute of all projects. This will include reviewing all project designs and ensuring completeness.

Principal Accountabilities

• Preparing drafts of the design procedures and processes to be followed indicating clear timelines for each activity
• Co-ordinating with the other associates in scheduling workshops for the entire Project Management Division to present and explain procedures
• Ensuring  that accurate and appropriate monthly status reports on Design are issued for each project within the specified timelines
• Guiding the Project Managers in resolving any design issues including but not limited to reviewing, providing guidance and addressing issues on design drawings
• Closely monitoring the project specific targets and advising the Project Managers of any challenges likely to impact on the targets set out
• Providing input in the development of key project documentation including but not limited to Business Case Budgets and Timelines, Project Briefs, Business Case, the Project Initiation Document (P.I.D.) and Project Closure Report

Key Qualifications and Experience

• A Degree in Architecture
• Must be registered with BORAQS
• A minimum of 3 years working experience as an Architect
• Must be self-driven and results oriented
• Excellent communication skills
