multinational security organisation providing security solutions throughout
Africa and is well known for promoting high standards of service to the
customers. Over the years they have registered substantial growth and are now
seeking to recruit a Head of Sales with an impeccable track record in business
development to steer the company’s growth in the region.

Job Purpose:
The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective sales strategy for the business while providing effective leadership in its implementation to achieve business growth. The position will suit individuals of high integrity who haveproven organisational and leadership skills are presentable and possess strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Put in place sales strategies that are aligned to
overall corporate plans and strategies.
- Develop and monitor implementation of the annual sales
budget and ensure the costs of sales activities are as per plan and
differences/ variances explained and kept to a minimum as per company
policy.
- Develop annual, quarterly and monthly etc. forecasts
and projections SGAs target markets, regions, market share etc.
- Projecting expected sales and profits for existing and
new services, analyse trends and results and make appropriate
recommendations to the Operations and senior management team on service
offerings, pricing, quality and standards etc.
- Develop and implement sales policies that include
target client base, go-to market strategies, selling strategies,
contracting, client management and other sales operational guidelines that
will ensure that SGAs sales activities are carried out in a consistent
manner that facilities success.
- Identify and communicate/ cascade to the team sales
targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) on an annual, quarterly and
monthly basis and monitor/ track/ report against agreed sales plans.
- Ensure the sales department is aligned with Customer
Service and the Operations departments in product offering and that the
sales personnel receive regular training and or updates on services etc.
- Reviews and analyzes sales performance against KPIs to
determine effectiveness
- Build and maintaining effective and fruitful
relationships/rapport with key accounts which will include making periodic
visits, accompany sales personnel on client visits, negotiation fees etc.
- Monitor emerging market trends in order to identify new
opportunities for the company and keep abreast with customer demands.
- Develop a keen understanding of the security market in
East Africa in respect to customer requirements, competitor offering and
pricing; identify opportunities so as to enhance the company’s
competitiveness.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales activities
for management and board review to highlight both latent opportunities and
challenges.
- Accomplishes sales objectives by liaising with relevant
internal teams, external provides to plan, develop, implement and
evaluating advertising, promotion programs and sales action plans.
- Identify and develop corporate social responsibility
programmes of benefit to the company image.
- Liaise with the media fraternity in public relations
and promotions
- Recruit, train, deploy and manage the performance of
the sales team.
Requirements
- A degree in business or other relevant qualification;
candidates who possess a post graduate qualification in Sales/ Marketing
will be at an added advantage.
- At least seven years experience in sales with at least
three years in a senior management position.
- Must have excellent computer competencies.
- Must be innovative and posses analytical and problem
solving skills.
- Should exhibit sound judgment and be a team player.
