Cost Manager – Project
Management (Re – Advertisement)
Reporting to the Manager – Project Management, this is a position responsible for close supervision and monitoring of construction cost related matters with the objective of ensuring that projects are delivered in time and within the allocated budget.

Principal Accountabilities
- Reviewing all detailed cost plans for the project
against the designs developed at each stage of the project
- Undertaking detailed cost reviews on construction costs
and ensuring that they are accurate and within the market rate
- Monitoring and tracking any changes to the design and
assessing the time and cost implications and reporting these to the
required authority on a regular basis
- Reviewing in detail all pre-tender estimates and
advising the management on the reasonableness of the estimate
- Diligently monitoring expenditure against the cash flow
and regularly updating this on a monthly basis
- Guiding the Project Management Team on continuous value
engineering strategies that will seek to minimize costs without detriment
to quality or function
- Reviewing and ensuring that all financial appraisals
submitted are accurate and within the company standards
- Review all bills of quantities, Conditions of Contract
and Specifications for the tender documentation
- Diligently review the final accounts and ensure that
they are completed and signed within the specified timeline
- Ensure adherence to Cost Control Procedures
Key Qualifications and
Experience
- A Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Must be registered with BORAQS
- A minimum of 2 years working experience as a Quantity
Surveyor
- Must be self-driven and results oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive and adaptable skills
