Duties & Responsibilities
- Work side by side with Cooks & Assistant Cooks
- Pay attention to detail
- Artistic ability and creativity to produce pastries and
desserts that look as good as they taste
- Measure, weigh, and sift the ingredients and knead the
dough either by power mixer
- Create breads, pies, cakes, icings, cookies, doughnuts,
and delicately layered pastries
- Assist junior staff
- Providing professional assistance to junior kitchen
personnel
- Handle large volumes of production
- Frequently communicate the status of all pastry food
production to the Kitchen Manager
- Inspect all equipment and machinery used in the area of
responsibility and report any problems or situations to the Kitchen
Manager
- Fully responsible for the quality and presentation of
food leaving the station
- Ensure high standards in all areas
- Ensure all food is stored and all areas are cleaned to
the highest standards

Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma qualifications in Hospitality, Food
and Beverage
- 5yrs experience in a similar position
- Excellent knowledge of ingredients
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Comprehensive knowledge of health & safety/ hygiene
measures
- Inventory Control
- Detail orientated
- Committed to excellent customer service
- Excellent communication & organizational skills
