Us:
Our
Client, Total seeks to recruit a highly motivated and competent candidate to
fill the position above. As an Energy provider, TOTAL is developing worldwide
the access to solar lamps system for low income populations not connected to
the grid. This job involves establishing a solar energy business in the
districts of Nebbi, Nwoya and Buliisa. Other districts of implementation be
Masindi and Kiryandongo. The job holder will be involved in
developing and growing different business segments with the aim of selling
solar lamps in an area that has no Total petrol station.
Job
Summary: The
Solar Liaison Officer will primarily oversee the development of the Total
Access to Solar project in block 1.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Initiates sales
process by building relationships; assessing potential markets; scheduling
appointments with different business segments in block 1.
- Participate in various events within
the block that promote the solar products.
- Develop sales of solar
products by making initial presentation and explaining product details to
a range stakeholders.
- Establish, develop and
maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective
customers in block 1 togenerate new business for solar products
- Provide the Total
management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems,
interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products on a
weekly basis.
- Develop after sales
services well as product recycling programmes as part of the supply value
chain in the targeted area for the solar business.
- Manage the solar
inventory within the store in the camp and prepare periodic
reconciliations.
- Investigate and
develop specific business opportunities for low income populations in the
target districts.
- Perform any other
duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should
possess a University degree in Economics, business administration, Project
management.
- At least four to five
years’ experience in sales prospecting, negotiating, and closing
experience.
- Ability to maintain
good relations with a wide range of local stakeholders, Microfinance
Institutions, NGOs, business community, local authorities and local
communities among others
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess high levels of
integrity in contacting business
- Exhibit commitment to
team environment and to being a strong team player.
- Adapt to frequent
travel within the region
- Excellent Computer
skills (Word, Excel and power point).
- Good report writing
and analytical skills
- Fluent in Alur ,
Acholi, Runyakitara and Lugungu
- Ability to work
independently and meet deadlines.
