Safety & Security Officer jobs in Nairobi, Kenya: The NRC Horn of Africa & Yemen mission is an expanding programme.

NRC started its operations in Kenya in the refugee camps in Dadaab in February 2007.

NRC has WASH, Shelter, Education and Food Distribution programmes implemented in the refugee camps in Dadaab.

NRC is seeking to recruit a Safety and Security Officer to support the programme staff in the day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

Diploma in Social sciences, law enforcement or certified graduation from military/police academy.

Good political and social knowledge of the operational area.

Excellent command of spoken and written English & Kiswahili. Fluency in Somali is an added advantage.

Knowledge of radio system and the use its related equipment.

Must have strong interpersonal skills and a team player

Good organizational skills, strong written communication skills

Ability to work with less supervision in a hardship area.

Must have computer skills in MS –Word and spreadsheet packages.

Training in emergency and disaster response will be an added advantage.

Past Experience with the INGO sector is an added advantage
