Summary: Our client is a local manufacturer of electrical insulation.

Primary Responsibilities:

s  Production and submission of weekly and monthly management reports on all aspects of running the business

s  Overseeing all production technical functions

s  Oversee marketing functions

s  Ensure all forms of regulatory compliance with assistance from group head office

s  Together with line managers ensure procurement, administration and logistics of all supplies

s  To effectively manage and develop all staff

s  To develop and maintain cost effective operations, systems and procedures

s  General safety and protection of all staff, property and equipment.

s  Ensure month-end stock takes are done and submitted on time according to the financial time line.

s  Preparation and submission of budgets.

s  Plan and schedule routine maintenance of equipment

s  Together with line managers, plan production schedule according to orders received.

s  Develop and train staff.

s  Monitor and grow HR department.

s  Develop and implement a staff organizational chart including all JD’s and assist in recruitment.

Skills and Certification:

s  Degree in Engineering (preferably electrical) or Degree in Business Administration

s  Master’s Degree in Business Administration would be a definite advantage

s  Any training in ERP systems, accounts, purchasing and logistics will be considered an advantage.

s  Needs to be able to work independently and be able to effectively resolve issues without supervision.

s  Needs to be a team player and what I like to call a servant leader.

Experience: At least five years’ experience senior management experience in a manufacturing or engineering concern with a turnover of between 100 million and 1 billion.
