Food Security & Livelihoods Project Manager Jobs Kenya: The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people.

NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors.

NRC has been operating in this camp since 2007 and works in all the 4 main refugee camps in the area. NRC Implements WASH, Education, Food Security & Livelihood and Shelter activities in the camps, in partnership with UNHCR as the lead Agency.

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall supervision and planning of the NRC Food Security sector in Dadaab.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience from working as a Project Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context

Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts

Technical Food Security & Livelihoods expertise

Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities

Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile

Fluency in English, both written and verbal

Valid driver’s license
We offer

Commencement: February 2014

Contract period: 12 months

Salary/benefits: According to NRC’s general directions.

Duty station: Dadaab/Hagadera, Kenya.
