The office of the Kajiado County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions:

Early Childhood Development Teachers

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Actual classroom teaching/caregiving.

·         Interpretation of childcare services.

·         Community mobilization on ECDE matters/activities.

·         Be the linkage between child and parent.

·         Advise on feeding programmes.

·         Have adequate knowledge on growth-monitoring and evaluation of ECDE programmes.

Qualification Requirements

·         A Kenyan citizen preferably from Kajiado County

·         Be a holder of a Form Four certificate (EACE/KCE)

1.     Division III and above

2.     KCSE D+ and above

3.     KCSE D plain or certificate with KNEC proficiency

Professional Qualifications

·         Certificate, Diploma or degree in ECDE from a recognized institution.

·         Experience in ECDE will be an added advantage.

·         Certificate of Good Conduct.

·         A letter of confirmation from the Head Teacher or the sponsor (PTA, organization, church, NGO).

·         Be conversant with the ECDE syllabus and curriculum delivery.

·         Be conversant with child-care services and care plus OVCs, child rights (abuse, neglect and labour), and with the working system line ministries like the Ministry of Health in administration of Vitamin A and de-worming and the Ministry of Water in the provision of safe drinking water.

·         Any other relevant supporting documents.
