Vacancy Announcement – Fund Raising Director
Dynamic People Consulting is recruiting a Fund Raising Director for Christoffel Blinden Mission (CBM), a faith based international NGO which is committed to improving the lives of people living with disabilities.

Reporting to the CBM Kenya Board, the Fund Raising Director will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing fundraising initiatives as well as providing direction and administrative oversight of CBM Kenya.

The Fund Raising Director will specifically be responsible for the following:

• Develop and implement the fundraising strategies of the organization;
• Execute on the fundraising plan deliverables in a timely and efficient manner;
• Build the brand of CBM, it stature and profile through professional marketing communications, media engagement, face to face donor meetings and fundraising events;
• Recommend new approaches to achieve fundraising objectives based on a broad understanding of donor trends, social media and marketing communications;
• Monitor and report fundraising activities;
• Develop and monitor organizational strategy to ensure the long-term financial viability of the organization;
• Ensure implementation of organizational strategy;
• Manage the financial systems and resources of CBM Kenya;
• Build a diverse and engaged workforce;
• Act as a resource in Partnership Development in building major donor relations;
• Carry out a variety of legal, ceremonial, social or networking duties promoting the cause of CBM and advocate for inclusion of persons with disability;
• Act as the main point of contact for the National Organization;
• Liaise with National Directors and peers in the Regional Office;
• Supports the work of CBM Kenya’s field partners;

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in social science or related field;
• Master’s Degree will be an added advantage;
• Five (5) years experience working in senior leadership position in a Non profit organization;
• Must have demonstrated experience in executing fundraising strategies;
• Should possess financial literacy;
• Possess technical expertise in Marketing and/or International Development;
• Must have a proper understanding of concepts of international development;
• Possess the ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others;
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills;
• Must be in agreement with CBM’s basic beliefs and values;
• Must be willing to travel.
