About the Bank;
Our client, the First Community Bank (FCB) (www.firstcommunitybank.co.ke) is a pioneer Sharia banking compliant institution with operations across 19 locations Kenya and in the region. The bank offers leading products and services to its clients and is a very dominant player in its commercial space.

FCB is currently experiencing high growth and is expanding its operations in all frontier markets in the region.

To support this growth, the bank is looking for a Research and Development Officer who will be responsible for securing and ensuring the integrity of the bank’s valuable development initiatives.

Roles

• Support service provider management by coordinating meetings, documenting contracts and capturing learnings from kick off meetings and tracking deliverables.
• Maintain organizational needs, assessment data and create report for senior leadership.
• Maintain and manage portals for individual and team assessments.
• Conducting quality check and preparation of timely bank-wide appraisal reports.
• Promoting the usage of the bank’s balance scorecard by organizing training and creating relevant communication.
• Mine research assets proactively for trends and best practices to inform of ongoing development.
• Support Organization Effectiveness interventions by gathering relevant data, assisting with pre and post surveys, analyzing data and providing themes/recommendation
• Research and report as requested for special projects; synthesize research to support current and future projects.
• Track progress and measure outcomes of relevant initiatives.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business related degree.
• 2 years experience working with in similar position in fast paced environment.
• Exposure in banking products an added advantage.
•  Experience with developing and implementing a strategy or plan, preferably in sales and marketing.
• A high level of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate well at all levels in a clear, appropriate and timely manner.
• Have excellent ability for data processing and interpretation for purposes of reporting and have ability to network within the company organization.
• Candidate must have strong computer and research skills.
