About the Opportunity:  
Global Communities seeks a Finance Manager, reporting directly to the Director of Finance to support the Improved Services for Vulnerable Populations (ISVP) Program funded by USAID through PEPFAR.
Position Description:
The Finance Manager provides financial support for Global Communities including supporting with the implementation, monitoring, reporting and compliance of the accounting and sub-grant components of ISVP Program. 
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Provide accounting and financial technical management and ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles, as well as USAID rules and regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, financial reports, program expenditure reports, and burn rate reports
  • Responsible for various required financial month-end processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations: Quick books closure processes; submission of IC invoices; balance reconciliations, etc.  
  • Treasure management responsibilities including preparing weekly cash position
  • Prepare VAT report and submit it to RRA for refund.
  • Updating Quick book on daily basis.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all privileged information  including but not limited to human resources and sub – award financial information;
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team. 
Qualifications
  • Rwanda national
  • Ability to work in a multicultural context as a flexible and respectful team player.
  • Familiarity with accountant procedures.
  • Demonstrated computer and typing skills; Excel and WinWord skills are essential.
Education
University degree in Accountancy, Finance and any other related field related.  Master’s degree preferred.
Languages skills
Fluency in written and oral English and Kinyarwanda
