Summary: The
Marketing manager supports the CCO in developing, implementing and maintaining
the marketing plan, including Branding & Communications, Products & Services,
Pricing as well as working closely with Sales regarding Distribution to ensure
the company achieves its marketing KPIs in a cost efficient manner.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implementation and
maintenance of brand activities
- Management of all
communications including advertising, promotions, events and sponsorship
ensuring all communications reflect and develop the company’s desired
positioning on the market
- Manage the life-cycle
of the product portfolio
- Responsibility for the
website of the company including services offered via the Internet as well
as customer self-care
- Development of
functional marketing plans
- External negotiations
with relevant partners and suppliers
- Forging and
maintaining positive long term relationships with external partners,
suppliers and clients
- Optimisation of press,
public relations and advertising, ensuring the most cost effective
presentation of the company
- Ensure that all brand
and marketing activities are aligned with the Afrimax Group guidelines for
all country operations

Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should
hold a university degree in Business/Communications/Marketing
- Alternatively
technical university background with supplemental commercial education
(MBA or Advanced Marketing Degree)
- At least five (5)
years senior management responsibility in the telecommunications, ICT,
finance or media industry (candidates from other sectors, but with strong
marketing experience may also be considered)
- At least three years’
experience leading marketing functions, including solid experience in
defining and monitoring customer segments; branding & communications
plus managing market launches of products, services and offers.
- Self-driven with the
ability to motivate peers and subordinates,
- Structured, with good
project management skills
- Customer oriented
- Innovative and willing
to learn
- Excellent
communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation
skills
- Strategic thinker and
commercially focused
- Possess a strong
performance and results orientation
- Able to apply high
level analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Fluent in
written/spoken English. Kiswahili is a significant plus
