Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

• The Director PMO shall manage our internal Projects Team in an active key capacity through the implementation of a new mobile network, identify and address all key issues affecting services in line with the targeted methodology and procedures.
• Mentoring, training and raising project management competence of the projects team
• Delivering network deployment projects for fixed line, wireless and ISP Business
• Defining and producing project management methods and procedures to be utilized in the company
• In charge of Mobile Network stabilization and improvement
• Responsible for Fixed Network Upgrade
• Deployment of the new Mobile Money platform
• Plan for swap of complete core and mobile network
• Identify and deploy the project management database tool
• Effective management of the department’s OPEX budget
• Deployment of a complete network transformation project

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

• The applicant should possess a relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering & Telecommunications but candidates with other qualifications but with suitable experience will also be considered
• Additional Qualification in Project Management from an internationally recognized Project Management body
• The Director PMO should possess at least ten years’ experience in deploying large scale network projects and managing PM teams in international telecommunications companies and/or telecommunications hardware vendors; and effective management of budgets.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of structured project principles & methodology; e.g. Scheduling, Risk Management, Resource Planning and Management.
• Excellent negotiation skills and demonstrated experience in dealing with sub-contractors.
• All candidates should have experience in at least 4 major network deployments for major vendors or telecom operators;
• Significant experience in rolling out of mobile network technologies including WIMAX, GSM/EDGE, 3G/HSPA/UMTS, GPRS, WLL, SDH
• Possess the ability to manage Mobile Core Swap Projects including but not limited to MSC Servers, NGN Switches and Media Gateways.
• Prior experience in VAS & IN, Core Network with relevant competence in SMSC platforms in a large telecom.
• A good track record of planning and successful implementation of Fibre and OSP Project to Hybrid Fibre Coax (HFC) Networks, FTTH, and OPGW0.
• Broad knowledge & experience in working with Alcatel-Lucent, ZTE and Huawei systems.
• Possess the ability to work in a rapidly expanding and changing environment.
