business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated
below:
Senior Manager –
Technology Project Governance

Reporting to the Head of
Department – Strategy and Planning, the role holder will strive to attain
organizational strategic objectives through development of frameworks
governing effective management of projects, technology, budgets and operations.
This role requires a high
caliber individual with strong strategic mindset, solid understanding of
processes required to increase productivity and efficiency in the technology
organization and a proven track record for working effectively with a wide set
of stakeholders on complex technology programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce a standard that ensures the
technology organization is aligned to business strategy and objectives;
- Provide an end-to-end business view of the governance
of technology that reflects the central role of information and technology
in creating value for the business;
- Develop and enforce a framework for the approval of
budget against projects sponsored by the business units in delivering the
corporate strategy and objectives;
- Provide regular end-to-end business view of the
committed projects delivering business objectives as a central role of
information to business as a whole entity;
- Manage interfaces with other technology domains,
Corporate Strategy, Vodafone Technology networks (VTN) and Vodafone Group
OpCos to ensure an aligned approach towards strategy and architecture
development, working as one team to deliver benefit for our customers;
- Working with procurement and technology network domains
to ensure we leverage on supplier competition to drive innovation, manage
costs and provide best customer experience;
- Manage the transition and delivery of architectural
elements of projects based on project requirements;
- Develop and communicate governance framework for
technology;
- Drive sharing knowledge, decisions, patterns and
lessons learnt to integrate new solutions;
- Drive uniformity of technology approach for
planning operational processes across Technology;
- Attract recruit the best talent;
- Develop the team through learning initiatives,
mentoring coaching so at to create Technology Subject Leads within
the architecture domain to support the Strategy Function.
Role Requirements
- A University degree in a telecommunications biased
discipline;
- Excellent people and stakeholder management skills;
- Able to provide strong leadership within a
multinational, multicultural environment;
- Experience of leading development of complex technology
strategies, architectures or roadmaps;
- Strong presentation and communication skills with
ability to recognize and balance conflicting interests;
- Results driven with high levels of energy
initiative;
- Good understanding of broad set of Network
technologies;
- Proven track record in network architecture and
strategy development;
- Experience in evaluating and managing suppliers.
