IT Assistant
Education Development Center, Inc
(EDC) is recruiting different positions for the USAID funded project, the
"Literacy, Language and Learning (L3) Initiative".
L3 project will provide professional
development to over 24,000 P1 to P4 Teachers in 2,838 schools, improve
proficiency in English, Kinyarwanda and numeracy, train national mentors, and
develop and distribute teaching and learning materials to all government
primary schools over a five year period.
EDC/L3 project would like to recruit
the position of IT Assistant.
Summary: The IT Assistant will report to
the ICT Coordinator and support in maintaining Studio Equipment and IT office
devices. This position is located in Kigali but the IT Assistant will be
expected to travel to all districts to support the Schools in L3/ICT equipment
Maintenance
Essential functions include [but are
not limited to]:
Work closely with studio in
processing demands for audio lessons and Video Production.
Load SD cards and flash
disks with audio lessons and burn CDs;
Maintain and repair audio
devices;
Evaluate the performance in
the field of different audio devices;
Prepare rechargeable
batteries and load them into players;
Prepare solar panels for
audio players;
Support and train staff on
the use of computer hardware and software;
Maintain IT L3 equipment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Diploma or certificate in
electronics or computer science or other related Area from a recognized
University.
At least two years'
experience in electronics repair and audio /Video technology
Ability to troubleshoot and
maintain computer hardware and software
Rwandese nationality
