Hours: Variable as required
but while at camp you have a 24-hour responsibility.
Leave: You are to receive one day off per week in which this changes depending on occupation in the camp. Each year you entitled to 21 days of paid holiday and 11 public holidays paid.

Reports to: Office / Ops Manager.
Description: You are responsible
for the day to day running and maintenance of the camp. Meeting and greeting of
all the clients that arrive, managing the camp staff, managing the running
costs of the camp and handing all reports to the operations manager.
Responsibilities:
- The night before each day, please check the following.
- Check what groups are arriving in the next day.
- Check trip leaders and guides are a wear.
- Check that the campgrounds and facilities are
appropriately prepared clean and welcoming. Make notes of jobs that need
to be done.(Do a walk round)
- Each morning hold a meeting with your head staff from
each department to organize the work plan of their day.
- Ensure that the camp is clean and tidy and that
everything is in good working order.
- Ensure that the kitchen area is clean and tidy and that
they have enough products in the store, gas and water.
- Ensure all rooms are clean tidy and presentable,
maintained and in working order.
- Ensure all rooms are allocated accordingly to each
group (Liaise with office/ops manager)
- Ensure Kitchen stock is correct, approve menus and
order required food with office/ops manager
- Ensure that the bar has enough drinks for the clients
and ensure that they are cold ready to serve.
- Ensure that all bills are paid on arrival and maintain
a clear report of your funds, expenditure and income. (We do not except
credit)
- Maintain a detailed inventory of all stock in the camp
(from food, to utensils, cutlery, bedding, cleaning products, tents,
mattresses, tools etc.)
- Supervise your workers in each individual department to
make sure that they are doing their job well and have all of the necessary
materials to be able to complete their job.
- Buy/order any necessary products needed for cleaning,
building, bar etc.
- Check that the vehicles in camp always have enough
fuel, clean and that they are in good working order.
- Keep a progress report on the weekly/monthly aims of
new and current projects and camp jobs.
- Meet and greet every client that comes into the camp,
introducing yourself as camp manager and make sure they are taken care of
appropriately.
- Work with the trip leader of each trip and help
organize their group needs.
- When clients arrive at the camp without a booking,
please help them with all the necessary information and accommodate them
where possible or encourage them to make a booking with us.
